With the abolishment of Employment Tribunal fees (for now!) Employment Tribunals continue to see a dramatic increase in employee claims. Claims can arise from a number fo simple things such as outdated employment contracts (or even a failure to issue a contract!) and policies and procedures that are no longer compliant with legislation. Employment law is one of the fastest changing areas of law and it is no defence to an employer to argue they were unaware of new case law. An employer is always legally obliged to comply with minimum statutory.
